About Elena

Get to Know Elena Rodriguez

Hola -- I am Elena Rodriguez, a licensed marriage and family therapist who is passionate about helping young people and their families navigate the complicated, sometimes turbulent waters of growing up. If your teenager is struggling, or if your family feels disconnected, I want you to know that reaching out is one of the bravest things you can do.

I grew up in a bilingual household in East Los Angeles, and my bicultural upbringing gave me a deep appreciation for how family dynamics, cultural identity, and personal growth are all intertwined. I pursued my graduate work at UCLA precisely because I wanted to understand how families can be both our greatest source of strength and, sometimes, our greatest source of pain.

I specialize in working with adolescents navigating identity development, eating disorders, and the pressures of social media and academic achievement. I also work with families to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and build deeper understanding across generations. My approach draws from structural family therapy, DBT, and narrative therapy -- always tailored to the unique story of each person and family I serve.

When I am not in the therapy room, you will find me dancing salsa with friends, volunteering at a local youth arts program, or exploring Oregon's beautiful coast with my partner and our two cats. I believe that joy and play are essential to healing, and I try to bring that spirit into my work every day.
