Understanding the Process

What Is Crisis Intervention & Intensive Outpatient?

Sometimes life reaches a point where weekly therapy is not enough. Whether you are in acute distress, experiencing a mental health crisis, or need more structured support during a particularly difficult time, our crisis intervention and intensive outpatient services provide a higher level of care while allowing you to remain in your community. These services are designed to stabilize, support, and bridge you to a sustainable level of ongoing care.

Is This Right for You?

Who Is It For?

Crisis intervention is for individuals experiencing acute mental health distress, including suicidal thoughts, severe anxiety or panic, emotional overwhelm following a traumatic event, or psychiatric symptoms that are significantly impairing daily functioning. Our intensive outpatient program is for people who need more support than weekly therapy provides but do not require inpatient hospitalization. This might include individuals stepping down from a hospital stay, those at risk of needing hospitalization, or anyone going through a period of intense difficulty.

Your Experience

What to Expect

Crisis intervention begins with a same-day or next-day assessment to evaluate your immediate needs and safety. From there, we create a short-term stabilization plan that may include more frequent sessions, safety planning, coordination with other providers, and connection to community resources. Our intensive outpatient program typically involves 9 to 12 hours of structured group and individual therapy per week over 4 to 8 weeks. Sessions are scheduled during daytime or evening hours so you can maintain work, school, or family responsibilities.
